Jamaican Citizen

1. Jamaican citizen holding a Jamaican passport may travel to HKSAR visa-free for a short visit or tourism and stay in HKSAR for up to 90 days.

2. Jamaican citizen should obtain a visa if the intended stay in HKSAR is more than 90 days, or the purpose of visit is to work, study, establish or join in any business or to take up residence in the HKSAR before traveling to HKSAR.

3. How to apply for visa for Hong Kong SAR of China:

A. You may submit your application in person to Chinese Embassy; or mail your application directly to the Immigration Department of HKSAR Government.

B. Follow the guidelines for HKSAR Visa and prepare required supporting documents with your application.

C. Processing Time: 4 weeks or more.

D. Fees and payments: If your application needs to be referred to HKSAR Immigration Department for processing, you are required to pay a Communication Fee of $20 to the Embassy prior to submission of your application, in addition to the HKSAR visa fee which is charged once your visa is approved. Otherwise, you must pay directly to HKSAR Government as instructed.

Non-Jamaican citizen

1. Please check the visa requirements or visa-free arrangements for non-Jamaican citizen by visiting the website(www.immd.gov.hk) of HKSAR Immigration Department.

2. Non-Jamaican citizen should obtain a visa if the purpose of visit is to work, study, establish or join in any business or to take up residence in the HKSAR before traveling to HKSAR.

3. How to apply for visa for Hong Kong SAR of China:

A. You may submit your application in person to Chinese Embassy; or mail your application directly to the Immigration Department of HKSAR Government.

B. Follow the guidelines for HKSAR Visa and prepare required supporting documents with your application.

C. Processing Time: 4 weeks or more. (For applications not to be referred to HKSAR Immigration Department, normal Embassy/Consulate General processing times apply)

D. Fees and payments: If your application needs to be referred to HKSAR Immigration Department for processing, you are required to pay a Communication Fee of $20 to the Embassy prior to submission of your application, in addition to the HKSAR visa fee which is charged once the visa is approved. Otherwise, you must pay directly to HKSAR Government as instructed.
