To further facilitate foreign nationals’ travel to China, the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica will provide walk-in visa application services starting from November 20, 2023. Visa applicants can come to the embassy and submit required documents for visa application. No online appointment is required. The steps are as follows:

1. Fill out and print out application form. Applicants need to visit the China Online Visa Application (COVA) website （http://cova.mfa.gov.cn） to fill out the form online. All pages of the form need to be downloaded and printed out. Signature is required in certain pages.

2. Submit application documents. Applicants need to bring passports and other required documents to the visa office of the embassy. The visa office is open from 9:30 to 11:30 and from 14:30 to 16:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Opening hours for holidays will be advised otherwise.

It is anticipated that the number of applicants would significantly increase and cause prolonged waiting time. The visa office may limit the maximum number of applications when operating beyond its capacity. Applicants are advised to mind this and arrange visa application accordingly.

Applicants with pre-booked appointment will be given priority for the corresponding time slot.
