Vice Governor of Gansu Province met with Prime Minister
 On February 8, accompanied by Ambassador Niu Qingbao of the Chinese Embassy, Vice Governor of Gansu Province Huang Qiang held a meeting with Prime Minister Andrew Holness. Both sides exchanged ideas and thoughts about the development of a Jamaica-Gansu industrial park. The Prime Minister said that the Jamaican Government would give the maximum support by coordinating all departments to make the project a success.

 Michael Henry, Minister of Ministry of Transport and Mining, Horace Chang, Minister without Portfolio of the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Fan Jianghong, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy and officials from Gansu Province were in attendance.
