Jamaican Delegation Highly Praised CIIE
On November 15, 2018, H.E. Ambassador Tian Qi met the Jamaican delegates who attended the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) during November 5 to 10, 2018 in Shanghai, including Hon. Daryl Vaz, head of the delegation, Minister without Portfolio, Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Hon. Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture And Fisheries, President of JAMPRO, Chairman of Jamaica Special Economic Zone Authority, etc.


Both ministers highly appraised CIIE and pointed out that it is a significant move by the Chinese Government to hold the CIIE, which further opens its market to the rest of the world. Both ministers expressed their sincere gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for its support provided to the Jamaican delegation.


Ambassador Tian Qi highlighted that CIIE demonstrated China's firm support for trade liberalization and economic globalization, and strong determination to open the Chinese market further. And he would like to work together with the Jamaican side to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as "Belt and Road" Initiative and production capacity cooperation.
